It was one of those laid-back classical rock songs with piano, strings, bass and a drum kit. I was working on a song for so long, around 5 hours straight or so, on FL Studio. My Ye Olde Computer has failed me yet again. If anyone could point out what a 2 GB RAM chip would normally cost, that'd be great :). Ugh, I need more RAM.Īnyone know how much it costs to get 2 GB of RAM, since for the seven years that I had this good-for-nothing "computer" (which is probably crashing as you are reading this) the RAM was never upgraded, so I wouldn't know the cost.

If anyone here has a 512 MB Ram or less, they know what I mean when I say the computer takes 10-15 minutes to start up and load all of the programs, and if you have more than around 5 windows open, get ready for a crash. I was really looking forward to getting it, and yet again my RAM has failed me. Then, I decided to check, and found out my horrible amount of RAM (512 MB) wasn't enough to withstand the 2 GB needed for EWQLSO. Man, I was going to get East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Silver for Christmas, and I had already invented some melodies with piano only which I planned to orchestrate with EWQLSO, and I didn't consider checking on the Internet to see what specs you need for it. My headphones also decided to stop working, by the way, and not to mention the TV, which is outputting anything in a weird shade of green. Now I'll have to wait for who knows when till they get that battery fixed, OR get a new battery. A few weeks ago we had to get it fixed, since the battery wasn't working, and they returned it to us with nothing fixed at all, and the battery still deciding to go down and never replenish, even when it says it's charging (typical service in my country.). I even might have to turn down some people who asked me to make a song for their flash since it'll take two weeks for another iLok key to arrive. Now I'll have to wait over 2 weeks until I get another one, which means 2 weeks stuck to making trance and all that, when I prefer classical and orchestral much more (call me weird, but I don't care). I handle it with extreme care and whenever I don't need it I always put it back in its bag. I take care of it as much as I can, and I never dropped it or anything. It's like I emit some sort of EMP or something.Ī few days ago, my iLok key, which is basically a small, key-shaped thing which you attach to the USB port of your computer when you need to run certain music programs (I use East/West Symphonic Orchestra, which is a very good orchestral VST that need the iLok key or it will refuse to work), well, it broke. I asked this question before and got sent to some other forums that just added to my confusion.I don't know why, but hardware seems to fail whenever I use it. Please don't refer me to some external link or some other posting in here. When I remove the transformer, then it works again. I did just that, and the faders DO move independently!! great!! only that now, the midi multi- instrument does not seem to be connected to the audio instrument, that is, when I play the keyboard while being on one of the midi channels, I don't hear anything going out from the audio instrument.

I read somewhere that you have to insert a transformer between the audio instrument and the mulit-instrument in the environment. I however, want to be able to operate them independently. now, when I move a fader on one of the midi tracks, the faders on the other tracks move as well. I opened the EWQLSO plug-in in one of the audio instruments tracks and connected midi channels to it in the environment. I'm somehow familiar with what I have to do but some problems still persist. I'm trying to set up this **** multi-instrument.
